I wouldn’t be surprised if this is something we’ll see in the theater someday: Rouge One and A New Hope together as one four hour opus.
At best, it shows how much director Gareth Edwards stayed true to the original movie’s set design.
However, it shows a glaring discrepancy in feeling, specifically, Darth Vader’s bad-ass, hol $#7? savagery at the end of Rogue One. I mean, did it tire him out and he just let the Stormtroopers take the lead from there? He could have easily taken Leia’s ship on his own, right?
I guess we can just chalk that up to a script written a long, long time ago.
