With nearly 700 people filtering through the doors, the Jersey Shore Comic Book Show truly was a big-little-con.
You know you’re in for a good day when there’s a big pot of coffee, donuts, and a warm welcome as you step through the door. Event hosts Mary and Dan Campbell really know how to organize an awesome show!
The Toms River Elks Club is a perfect location for the Jersey Shore Comic Book Show and NJ and PA con fans. And with the number of artists, vendors and cosplayers, there was plenty of entertainment without having to elbow your way through crowds like you do at the bigger city cons.
Lots of con-swag was to be had along with an impressive turnout of vendors – all with quality selections of books, toys, collectibles, and some great deals. A special highlight for me was discovering the RISK: Doctor Who board game; now all I need are some friends … and a spare 10 hours to play it …
Once again we were lucky enough to share the floor with some crazy-creative talent. Our ‘old’ con-friends Emilio Velez Jr., Paul Castiglia, Michael Grassia, and Ingenious Edge were there, together with a host of new folks including Tony Townsend, Dawn Griffin, Rose Arenas, Robert J. Sodaro, Thomas Hall, and Jim Main. Expect to hear lots more from us about these guys soon!
